For those who enjoy traveling, Malaysia is an excellent hub with relatively low-cost airfares (particularly by Air Asia) to all parts of South East Asia and beyond. Within the country, the National Park provides the world’s oldest tropical rain forests whilst the coastal and off-shore islands provide excellent beaches and some spectacular diving locations.

Johor Bahru (JB), the capital city of the state of Johor, is situated next door to Singapore, linked by two causeways – the Johor Bahru Causeway and the Second Link. It is very convenient and easy to go to Singapore for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. It is also very convenient to fly in and out of JB as well as taking international flights via Singapore.

JB itself is a vibrant city with the rapid development of Iskandar Malaysia.  Austin Heights International School is located within the Iskandar region, hence, one can easily access the amenities of modern living in the surrounding areas.

The latest attractions in JB are the Danish-run Legoland, Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park (a family theme park), and the Johor Premium Outlet where designer goods can be obtained with great discounts.  Furthermore, there is Desaru, a popular beach destination or the Tioman Island which offers great diving sites for diving enthusiasts.
